We believe that exploring creativity through learning the piano enriches every life. Whether you’d like to pursue a full-time career in music or just want to learn the piano as a causal hobby, the mental flexibility, manual dexterity, and overall confidence you’ll develop is valuable beyond measure. From helping younger students develop discipline and problem solving skills, to helping older students reengage their creativity and a rediscover a passion for life, we believe the piano is an absolute force for positive change.
For us and our students, learning to play the piano isn’t just about learning notes and reading music, though those things are important. We believe that music is also a way to engage with our community in inspiring ways while growing a more positive sense of self. We offer our students more than just a basic musical education. Our goal is to give them opportunities to interact with the larger Tallahassee community to grow as musicians and as people.

About Our Instructor
Adam Ravain got started on his journey through the beautiful world of music when his mother got him piano lessons at the age of 7. Since then, he’s dedicated his life to inspiring his students and his community through music. Though his 22 years of playing piano have filled him with joy, deepened his faith, and given him a brighter outlook on the world. His seven years of teaching have been his favorite years in music, by far. Adam loves to note that he learns as much from his students as they do from him.
A Background In Education
With students ranging from kindergarten to retirement-age, Adam has experience with every age and skill group. His passion is guiding others and helping them become confident in their skills.
Because of his untamable love for playing and teaching piano, Adam has pursued a life-long education in music and has excelled at every level. Extensive Experience
Adam has extensive experience working as a professional musician and piano teacher. When you hire Adam, you can be confident that you’re getting the benefit of years of piano playing and instruction. Currently, aside from being one of Tallahassee’s most respected piano teachers, Adam is the Organist and Pianist at Faith Presbyterian Church, right here in Tallahassee. He’s also the Associate Music Director at Faith Presbyterian. Adam treasures his time at Faith which allows him the opportunity to share his music with others so that they may heal and grow spiritually, to the glory of God.
Adam’s belief in community involvement is evident in his work as a Staff Accompanist for choir rehearsals and concerts at Florida High, Leon High, Chiles High, Wakulla High, Wakulla Middle, and Riversprings Middle. He’s also worked as a substitute teacher at Woodville Elementary and Lincoln High, a music program volunteer and Honor Chorus accompanist at Sealy Elementary, and helped out with the afterschool music programs at Gilchrist Elementary, Hawks Rise Elementary, and Holy Comforter Episcopal School.
Adam loves working with others to help them create memorable musical performances. Before his current work, Adam was a piano Instructor at Mason’s School of Music, Dance, and Arts in Tallahassee. Before his time teaching there, he taught piano as a graduate assistant at Florida State University’s College of Music. He also served as a Substitute Church Pianist at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, also here in Tallahassee.
Adam holds a graduate degree as a Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy from The Florida State University, in Tallahassee. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music, with a focus on Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL. While in school, Adam was the Valedictorian at Rollins College and received the Presser Award.

Though Adam’s main focus is helping his students learn to play with confidence by developing their practical music skills and working towards their individual goals, he’s often asked about his awards and competition results as a teacher and piano player. Though Adam believes that learning to play the piano is about much more than recognition and competition, he wants his students to know what’s possible when you really apply yourself to doing something you love. Because Adam believes that music is about community as much as it is about the music itself, he’s a member of numerous local and national associations and organizations dedicated to the teaching and sharing of music. In the Tallahassee Music Teachers Association, Adam is the Co-Chair for District Music Day. He’s also an active member in the following associations:
